Comparison review
Xperia 5 III is better than the HTC U Ultra, having a 90.5 score against 77. Although the Xperia 5 III is just a bit thicker than the HTC U Ultra, it's a little lighter and also a lot newer. HTC U Ultra features just a bit better looking screen than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite greater quantity of pixels per screen inch and a quite better resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
The Xperia 5 III has a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows 976 GB smaller, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Xperia 5 III has a little bit better hardware performance than HTC U Ultra, because it has 4 GB more RAM and a larger number of cores.
The Xperia 5 III shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than HTC U Ultra, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and a 12 MP back camera, the Xperia 5 III also has higher 120 frames per second video frame rate, a bigger aperture to capture better low light images and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a way better image quality.
