The Xperia XZ2 Compact is just a bit better than HTC U Ultra, getting a 79 score against 77. The Xperia XZ2 Compact construction is newer and just a little lighter than HTC U Ultra's, although it's also thicker. The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit better hardware performance than HTC U Ultra, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also has a higher number of cores.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a bit better looking screen than HTC U Ultra, although it has a quite lower pixels count in each display inch, a lot worse 1080 x 2160px resolution and a bit smaller display. The Xperia XZ2 Compact features a slightly better camera than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same sensor size and the same (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a camera with much more MP and better 60 frames per second video frame rates.
