The HTC U Ultra is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, getting a general score of 77 against 75.8. HTC U Ultra's construction is a little lighter and a bit thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, even though it was released about a year before. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a bit superior CPU than HTC U Ultra, because it has a greater amount of RAM and more processing cores (although slower).
HTC U Ultra features a little bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better pixels number per inch in the display and a better 1440 x 2560px resolution. The HTC U Ultra has a much bigger memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the HTC U Ultra also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro counts with superior battery duration than HTC U Ultra, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. HTC U Ultra takes much clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 megapixels resolution, the HTC U Ultra also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better images in poorly lited situations and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
