Motorola edge is much better than HTC U11 life, getting an 89.6 score against 74.5. The Motorola edge design is a lot newer, but way heavier and somewhat thicker than the HTC U11 life. Motorola edge features a bit better CPU than HTC U11 life, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Motorola edge also has 3 GB more RAM memory.
HTC U11 life features a little sharper screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a quite lower 1080 x 1920 resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater pixel count in each screen inch. The Motorola edge counts with much more storage capacity for applications and games than HTC U11 life, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1000 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with more internal memory.
The Motorola edge has a superior battery duration than HTC U11 life, because it has a 4500mAh battery size. The Motorola edge has a much better camera than HTC U11 life, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Motorola edge also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better photos in low-light environments and a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution.
Motorola edge is a lot more expensive than the HTC U11 life, but you can get a much better phone for that extra dollars.
