The Xperia XA2 Plus has a global score of 78.6, which is a bit better than HTC U12 Life's overall score of 74.4. Both phones we compare here come with Android OS, but the Xperia XA2 Plus has the older 8.0 Oreo version while HTC U12 Life has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Despite being the best phone in this review, Xperia XA2 Plus's design is somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier than HTC U12 Life.
The Xperia XA2 Plus features a bit better screen than HTC U12 Life. Both of them have a display with the same size, the same resolution of 1080 x 2160 and the same amount of pixels per inch in the screen. The Xperia XA2 Plus has a little bit better hardware performance than HTC U12 Life, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has 2 GB more RAM.
Xperia XA2 Plus features a slightly better camera than HTC U12 Life, and although they both have a F2 aperture, the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has a much more MP back camera. Sony Xperia XA2 Plus counts with more storage capacity to store more apps and games than HTC U12 Life, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB.
HTC U12 Life has just a bit longer battery life than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity.
