The Xiaomi Mi 8 is much better than the HTC U12 Life, with an 83.3 score against 74.4. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Mi 8 has 10 version while HTC U12 Life has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Xiaomi Mi 8 is a just a bit thinner phone than the HTC U12 Life, but both of them weight 6.17oz.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little sharper display than HTC U12 Life, and although they both have the same screen pixel density, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has a bit larger screen and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2248. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a much better storage for games and applications than HTC U12 Life, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit better processing power than HTC U12 Life, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has more RAM. The HTC U12 Life counts with just a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 3600mAh battery size instead of 3400mAh. The Xiaomi Mi 8 features just a bit better camera than HTC U12 Life, because although it has a lower 3840x2160 video resolution and a much worse 12 mega pixels resolution camera, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light photos.
