Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit better than HTC U23 Pro, getting a 78.7 score against 77.8. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro body is lighter and somewhat thinner than the HTC U23 Pro, although it was released many years before. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has 8.0 Oreo version and HTC U23 Pro has Android 13 version, providing you some nice extra features.
