Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Compact is slightly better than HTC U23 Pro, having a 79 score against 77.8. The Xperia XZ2 Compact design is lighter than HTC U23 Pro, but it is thicker and was released 5 years before. Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS, but the Xperia XZ2 Compact has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while HTC U23 Pro has Android 13.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features an incredibly better looking display than HTC U23 Pro, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160 and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a bit better quantity of pixels in each inch of display. HTC U23 Pro has a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a much better performing CPU than HTC U23 Pro, although it has 8 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact takes much clearer photographs and videos than HTC U23 Pro, although it has a way less megapixels resolution camera in the back.
The HTC U23 Pro features a way better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 60 percent larger battery capacity.
