Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is slightly better than the Huawei Ascend G7, having a score of 72.1 against 66. Xiaomi Redmi Y1's body has the same thickness than Huawei Ascend G7, but it's just a little lighter. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a newer 7.0 Nougat version while Huawei Ascend G7 has Android 4.4 version.
The Huawei Ascend G7 features a much better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both of them have the same exact 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a display of the same size and a greater number of pixels per screen inch. The Huawei Ascend G7 counts with a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and 4 lesser and slower CPU cores, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features a much better memory to install applications and games than Huawei Ascend G7, because it has an external memory slot that supports up to 128 GB and 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 takes much better videos and photos than Huawei Ascend G7, although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for low-light images and videos, they both have a 13 MP back facing camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features a bit superior battery life than Huawei Ascend G7, because it has a 3% more battery capacity.
Despite of being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is also very cheap compared to the other ones, which makes this phone a no doubt choice.
