The Huawei P40 is way better than the Huawei Ascend G7, having an 86.4 score against 66. Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but Huawei P40 has newer 10 version while Huawei Ascend G7 has Android 4.4 version, offering a couple additional features. The Huawei P40 body is notably newer, but just a little bit heavier and just a bit thicker than the Huawei Ascend G7.
Huawei P40 has a bit better looking screen than Huawei Ascend G7, because it has a way higher 1080 x 2340 resolution, a little larger display and a lot higher pixel count per screen inch. Huawei P40 counts with a bit faster CPU than Huawei Ascend G7, because although it has a 32-bits CPU instead of 64-bits, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a greater number of cores (and faster).
Huawei P40 has a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Ascend G7, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory. The Huawei P40 has improved battery duration than Huawei Ascend G7, because it has a 27 percent greater battery size.
The Huawei P40 captures a lot better videos and photos than Huawei Ascend G7, because it has a bigger aperture to take better low-light captures and videos and a back facing camera with much more mega pixels.
Huawei P40 not only is the best phones between the ones we are comparing here, but it's also a bit cheaper.
