Motorola DROID MAXX 2 is a little bit better than Huawei Ascend Mate, getting a overall score of 67.7 against 62.1. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has a newer 5.1 version while Huawei Ascend Mate has Android 4.1.2. Motorola DROID MAXX 2's construction is incredibly newer and somewhat lighter, but a little bit thicker than the Huawei Ascend Mate.
Huawei Ascend Mate counts with a bit superior CPU than Motorola DROID MAXX 2, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Huawei Ascend Mate also has more cores. The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has a much better display than Huawei Ascend Mate, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a lot more pixels per screen inch.
Motorola DROID MAXX 2 shoots a lot better photographs and videos than Huawei Ascend Mate, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Motorola DROID MAXX 2 also has a back-facing camera with way more MP. The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has much more storage to store more apps and games than Huawei Ascend Mate. Both of them have the same internal memory.
Huawei Ascend Mate counts with a little better battery duration than Motorola DROID MAXX 2, because it has a 4050mAh battery size instead of 3630mAh.
