The Huawei Mate 8 is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, getting a 77.4 score against 74.2. Despite being the best device in this review, Huawei Mate 8's body is older, a little thicker and somewhat heavier than the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. The Huawei Mate 10 Lite and the Huawei Mate 8 both feature incredibly similar processing units, both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite counts with a little more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2160 and a little greater display density. Huawei Mate 8 features a greater memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 10 Lite, because although it has a SD extension slot that holds 128 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Huawei Mate 8 features longer battery duration than Huawei Mate 10 Lite, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. Huawei Mate 8 takes slightly better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 10 Lite, and although they both have a same resolution camera in the back and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a bigger camera aperture to take better captures and video in poorly lited environments and faster 60 fps video frame rates.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei Mate 10 Lite. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 8, else you can save some money and buy the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, letting go a couple specifications.
