Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, having a 77.5 score against 74.2. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 design has the same thickness than Huawei Mate 10 Lite, but it's notably heavier. Huawei Mate 10 Lite counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better display density and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2160.
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite counts with a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Both of them have 8 cpu cores and 4 GB of RAM. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 10 Lite, because although it has a back camera with a lot worse resolution, and they both have the same diafragm aperture, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video quality.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 10 Lite, because although it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 128 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a really longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 10 Lite, because it has a 5300mAh battery size against 3340mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Huawei Mate 10 Lite, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
