Huawei nova 5T has a score of 80.8, which is slightly better than the Huawei Mate 10's 78.9 global score. The Huawei nova 5T is a newer phone, and it's also just a little bit thinner and just a little lighter than Huawei Mate 10. Both of these phones use the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding OS features.
The Huawei nova 5T has a bit better processing unit than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei nova 5T also has a higher amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 10 features a sharper display than Huawei nova 5T, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater screen pixel density and a better 1440 x 2560 resolution.
Huawei nova 5T takes much clearer videos and photos than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for low-light captures, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Huawei nova 5T also counts with a much larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back camera with a lot higher 48 mega-pixels resolution.
Huawei Mate 10 features slightly more storage for games and applications than Huawei nova 5T, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. The Huawei Mate 10 features a bit longer battery performance than Huawei nova 5T, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei nova 5T is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei Mate 10, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei Mate 10. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei nova 5T, else you can save some money and buy the Huawei Mate 10, giving up a couple specs and features.
