Despite of the fact the Huawei Mate 10 is incredibly older and a little heavier than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, it's construction is still somewhat thinner. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 10 has older 10 version while Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11.
Huawei Mate 10 has a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5. They have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate 10 features a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a bit larger screen, a lot higher pixel density and a much higher 1440 x 2560 resolution.
Huawei Mate 10 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a lot less mega pixels resolution camera, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light photography and videos and a much better (4K) video resolution. Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 counts with much more storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 also has an external memory slot that allows up to 1 TB.
Huawei Mate 10 has superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 3000mAh.
