Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a global score of 83.3, which is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate 10's 78.9 overall score. Even though Xiaomi Mi 8 and the Huawei Mate 10 were only released with a couple of months difference, Xiaomi Mi 8 is just a little bit lighter and just a little thinner. Both devices in this review work with the same Android 10 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding that.
Huawei Mate 10 counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution, a just a little better pixel density and a bit more brightness. The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with just a little better processing power than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has more RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a much greater storage to store more games and applications than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 10 features better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has an 18% more battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 takes a bit better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the same video frame rates and the same resolution back-facing camera, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also counts with a bigger sensor shooting better quality photographs and videos.
