The Huawei Mate 40 Pro construction is a lot newer than the Huawei Mate 20 lite's, but it's thicker and heavier. These phones use Android OS, but Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an older 10 version while Huawei Mate 20 lite has Android 8.1 Oreo.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a bit better processor than Huawei Mate 20 lite, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has 4 GB more RAM.
