Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Compact has an overall score of 79, which is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 20 lite's score of 76.2. Even though Xperia XZ2 Compact and Huawei Mate 20 lite were released with only 5 months difference, the Xperia XZ2 Compact design is a little bit lighter but notably thicker than Huawei Mate 20 lite. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia XZ2 Compact has the previous 8.0 Oreo version and Huawei Mate 20 lite has Android 8.1 Oreo version.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a little faster processor than Huawei Mate 20 lite. Both have 8 CPU cores and 4 GB of RAM. Xperia XZ2 Compact features a brighter screen than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a quite lower 1080 x 2160 resolution, it also counts with a little more pixels per display inch.
Huawei Mate 20 lite has just a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also has a SD extension slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Xperia XZ2 Compact features a superior camera than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for taking photographs or video in low light situations and a lesser mega pixels camera, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
Huawei Mate 20 lite has better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 3750mAh battery size against 2870mAh.
