The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 20 lite, with a overall score of 79 against 76.2. Although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is newer than Huawei Mate 20 lite, it's thicker and heavier. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has the previous 11 version while Huawei Mate 20 lite has Android 8.1 Oreo version.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 20 lite. Both have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount. Huawei Mate 20 lite counts with a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a little better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S captures better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 20 lite, and although they both have the same aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a way more mega-pixels back camera and a lot better 3840x2160 video definition. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's storage for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as Huawei Mate 20 lite's one, both of them have a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 512 GB and exactly the same internal memory.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with longer battery performance than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
