The iPhone 8 Plus is a bit better than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, with an 87.1 score against 82.9. Despite of the fact the iPhone 8 Plus is older and just a bit heavier than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, it's body is still somewhat thinner. IPhone 8 Plus has a little bit better performance than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and less and slower cores, it also counts with a 64 bits processor.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a little bit better screen than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a greater pixels quantity in each screen inch, a bigger screen and a lot better resolution of 1440 x 3120px. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro takes much clearer videos and photos than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has slower video frame rates, and they both have a same size aperture and the same (4K) video quality, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a much better 40 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and a way larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The iPhone 8 Plus counts with a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a superior battery life than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
Although Apple iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPhone 8 Plus, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, giving up some specifications.
