Huawei Mate 20 Pro has an overall score of 82.9, which is slightly better than the Google Pixel 4 XL's 82.9 score. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro construction is just a bit lighter than Google Pixel 4 XL, but it is just a little thicker and was released just 12 months before. Google Pixel 4 XL features a screen that's very similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro one, although the Google Pixel 4 XL has a little bit worse 1440 x 3040px resolution, a bit smaller screen and a just a bit worse amount of pixels per inch of display.
Google Pixel 4 XL counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Both have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 cores. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro shoots better pictures and videos than Google Pixel 4 XL, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a much larger back camera sensor which offers a lot higher image and video quality and a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a very superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 4 XL, because it has 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a bit longer battery performance than Google Pixel 4 XL, because it has a 4200mAh battery size instead of 3700mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it is a little more expensive than Google Pixel 4 XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 4 XL. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Google Pixel 4 XL, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
