Comparison review
The Google Pixel 5 has a general score of 89, which is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 20 Pro's 82.9 global score. Google Pixel 5 is a newer device, and it is also noticeably lighter and just a bit thinner than Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Google Pixel 5 features a processing unit that is very similar to the processing unit in Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and although the Google Pixel 5 has more RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a bit better looking screen than Google Pixel 5, because it has a bit larger display, a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 and a quite higher pixels quantity per inch in the display. Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Google Pixel 5 have quite similar storage for applications, games, photos and videos, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro takes much clearer pictures and videos than Google Pixel 5, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rate and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light images, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a back-facing camera with a lot better resolution and a way bigger back camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has just a bit longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel 5, because it has a 3% greater battery capacity.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing, the Google Pixel 5 is also cheaper than the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, making it an easy choice.
