Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a bit better than the Huawei P20 Pro, with a global score of 82.9 against 81.4. Even though Huawei Mate 20 Pro is better than the Huawei P20 Pro, we must tell that it is also a a little heavier and just a little bit thicker device. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with a slightly better display than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px, a little larger screen and a better pixel density.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P20 Pro. They have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount. Huawei P20 Pro counts with a camera that is just as good as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro one, and although the Huawei P20 Pro has a smaller back camera sensor capturing lower quality videos and images, they both have a same size aperture, a 40 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates.
The Huawei P20 Pro counts with as much memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has just a little better battery lifetime than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a 4200mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei P20 Pro. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Huawei P20 Pro, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
