Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a bit better than the Moto Z2 Play, with a score of 82.9 against 77.4. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro construction is newer, but notably thicker and a lot heavier than Moto Z2 Play. Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a bit better display than Moto Z2 Play, because it has more pixels per inch in the screen, a much better 1440 x 3120 resolution and a bigger screen.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a bit faster CPU than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM. Moto Z2 Play features much more memory to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 1,95 TB.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro shoots much better photos and videos than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for low-light photos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a lot higher 40 mega-pixels resolution camera.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a much longer battery life than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 40 percent greater battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Moto Z2 Play. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Moto Z2 Play, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
