The Samsung Galaxy M40 is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, getting a general score of 85 against 82.9. The Samsung Galaxy M40 construction is lighter and a little thinner than the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, although both of them were released only a couple months apart. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a bit faster CPU than Galaxy M40. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 6 GB RAM.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has more pixels per inch in the screen, a quite bigger screen and a higher 1440 x 3120 resolution. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro captures clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for shooting pictures or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a back camera with more mega-pixels and a lot larger sensor shooting lot higher quality photographs and videos.
The Galaxy M40 features a very superior storage to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy M40 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has longer battery life than Galaxy M40, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity.
