Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a little bit better than Galaxy S5 Plus, getting a general score of 82.9 against 78.1. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro construction is much newer, but much heavier and a little thicker than the Galaxy S5 Plus. Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a little bit better processing power than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores.
Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, although it has a bit worse count of pixels per display inch, a way smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080. Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with much more storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a bigger aperture for better low-light photos and video, a way larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back camera with much more mega pixels.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a way better battery life than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 50 percent greater battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up some features and specifications.
