Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a bit better than Galaxy S7 edge, getting an 82.9 score against 78.1. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro construction is incredibly newer, but somewhat heavier and thicker than Galaxy S7 edge. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a little sharper display than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a larger screen, a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a quite higher pixel number in each inch in the display.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features more storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4 more processing cores and more RAM memory.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light photos and video, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a much bigger back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot higher image and video quality and a camera in the back with a lot higher 40 mega-pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 17% greater battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, giving up some features and specifications.
