Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 Pro is slightly better than the Galaxy S8, having a score of 82.9 against 81.7. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro body is newer, but heavier and just a little thicker than Galaxy S8. Galaxy S8 features a bit more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 1440 x 2960px, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixels density.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a little bit more storage capacity to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a little faster processor than Galaxy S8, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a much better battery duration than Galaxy S8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro shoots much better pictures and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a lot bigger sensor which offers a lot better image and video quality and a much more mega pixels back facing camera.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S8, letting go a couple features and specs.
