The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is slightly better than the Sony Xperia 1, getting a global score of 82.9 against 82.6. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro design is just a little bit thicker and a bit heavier than Sony Xperia 1. The Sony Xperia 1 features a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has a higher 1644 x 3840px resolution, a bit larger display and a just a bit more pixels per screen inch.
Sony Xperia 1 features a superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Xperia 1 features just a little better performance than Huawei Mate 20 Pro. They have 6 GB of RAM memory and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has better battery life than Xperia 1, because it has a 26% larger battery capacity. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a superior camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels, higher 30 fps video frame rates and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot better quality photographs.
Even being the best phone in our current comparison, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is also a bargain compared to the other ones.
