Comparison review

Xperia 5 II has a score of 87.2, which is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 20 Pro's general score of 82.9. The Xperia 5 II is a newer cellphone, and it is also just a little thinner and somewhat lighter than the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a bit sharper screen than Xperia 5 II, because it has a little larger screen, a little bit greater pixels density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px.

Xperia 5 II features just a bit better processing power than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 5 II also has more RAM. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rate and a smaller aperture which is not good for low-light images and video, and they both have the same video definition and the same back camera sensor size, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a way higher resolution camera in the back.

Xperia 5 II has a superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xperia 5 II also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1000 GB. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a little better battery lifetime than Xperia 5 II, because it has a 5% more battery size.

Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei Mate 20 Pro. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
