Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a bit better than the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, with a overall score of 82.9 against 78.7. Although the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is noticeably older than the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, it's construction is somewhat lighter and just a little thinner. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels amount in each screen inch and a better 1440 x 3120 resolution.
Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has a much greater memory for apps and games than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has more internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a much powerful processor than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, although it has less RAM, they both have 8 cores. The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has a bit longer battery performance than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has an 11% larger battery capacity.
Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has a much smaller back camera sensor which offers a much lower image and video quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a F1.8 aperture, the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro also counts with faster 60 fps video frame rate and a lot higher resolution back facing camera.
