The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, having an 82.9 score against 76.6. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is an older phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but Huawei was able to build it a little bit thinner and a little lighter. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has 3 GB more RAM memory.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better amount of pixels per inch of screen and a better 1440 x 3120 resolution. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features just a bit more memory to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has superior battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has a 20 percent larger battery capacity. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a camera in the back with a lower resolution, and they both have a same size aperture, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot higher video resolution.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, resigning some specifications.
