Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, having an 82.9 score against 81.1. Huawei Mate 20 Pro is an older phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, but Huawei was able to make it just a little bit thinner and a little bit lighter anyway. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and more pixels per inch in the display.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. They have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light images and video, and they both have a same size sensor, the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a much higher 64 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with more storage to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has improved battery performance than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has a 20 percent bigger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, resigning some features and specs.
