Huawei Mate 20 Pro is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, getting a general score of 82.9 against 79. Even though the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is older than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, it's design is a little bit thinner and just a bit lighter. Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has more RAM.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a slightly better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 3120 resolution and a greater count of pixels per inch in the screen. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a greater storage for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with superior battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has a 20 percent larger battery capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's camera is just as good as the camera in Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a tinier back camera sensor offering a worse image quality, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, a F1.8 aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rates, it also counts with a better resolution camera in the back.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, giving up a couple features and specs.
