Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design is a little bit better than the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, having an 87.7 score against 86.3. Despite being the best cellphone in our current comparison, it must be noted that it's also noticeably older, just a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker. Both phones in our current comparison use Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Motorola Edge 50 Pro has Android 14, giving you a couple additional features and performance tweaks.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, because although it has a much worse display pixels density and a lot worse resolution of 1080 x 2400, it also counts with a little larger screen. Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design and Motorola Edge 50 Pro have incredibly similar memory for apps and games, both of them have the same 512 GB internal storage.
The Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design has a way better hardware performance than Motorola Edge 50 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro counts with a greater camera than Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro also has a lot larger aperture for better photography in poorly lited environments, a camera with more megapixels and a larger sensor capturing better quality photos and videos.
