Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a global score of 77.7, which is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 20 X's 75.6 global score. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is a noticeably lighter and a little thinner phone than Huawei Mate 20 X. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has the older 8.1 Oreo version while Huawei Mate 20 X has Android 9.0 Pie version.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a little more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 20 X, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution and a bit better number of pixels per inch of screen. The Huawei Mate 20 X counts with a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Both of them have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processor.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with a way better camera than Huawei Mate 20 X, although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light photos and video and a much tinier sensor shooting way worse quality photographs, they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition.
