Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate 20 X, getting a 76.6 score against 75.6. Although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is just a little bit thicker than Huawei Mate 20 X, it's somewhat lighter and also newer. Both phones in our current comparison include Android OS, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has the previous 10 version while Huawei Mate 20 X has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei Mate 20 X features a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 20 X also has a greater amount of RAM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate 20 X, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little more pixels per screen inch and a little bit higher 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.
Huawei Mate 20 X counts with a slightly better storage to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and Huawei Mate 20 X both feature incredibly similar battery durations, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 captures much better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20 X, although it has a tinier back camera sensor taking lower quality images, they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality.
