Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 is a bit better than the HTC One M9, getting a 79.5 score against 77.7. These phones include Android OS, but Huawei Mate 20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0, counting with lots of additional features and optimized performance. Huawei Mate 20 is a notably newer and somewhat thinner cellphone than the HTC One M9, although it is also heavier.
HTC One M9 features just a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a way smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a little higher pixels density. The HTC One M9 features a little faster CPU than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra GPU and a 64-bit processor.
HTC One M9 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor taking less light and washed colors and a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also counts with a lot better resolution camera.

Huawei Mate 20 has a way better battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 41 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC One M9. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the HTC One M9, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
