Huawei Mate 40 Pro is better than Huawei Mate 20, getting a global score of 90.9 against 79.5. Huawei Mate 40 Pro's body is newer than Huawei Mate 20's, but it is just a little bit thicker and heavier. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 40 Pro has the previous 10 version and Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has more RAM. The Huawei Mate 20 has a little more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2244px, a little bit lower pixels quantity in each inch in the display and a quite smaller display.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20, because it has 256 GB internal memory. Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a greater camera than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting photographs and videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with faster video frame rates, a way bigger sensor which gives a lot higher image and video quality and a lot higher resolution camera.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a bit better battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 10% more battery size.
