Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate 8, getting a 79.5 score against 77.4. Even though Huawei Mate 20 is a lot newer than the Huawei Mate 8, it's just a little thicker and a bit heavier. The Huawei Mate 20 features a sharper screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2244, a little more pixels per display inch and a little bit larger display.
The Huawei Mate 20 features a bit better performance than Huawei Mate 8. They have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate 8 has a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
Huawei Mate 8 has a battery life that's just as good as Huawei Mate 20's battery lifetime. The Huawei Mate 20 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back facing camera with a way worse resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better captures and video in low light situations and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
Even being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, Huawei Mate 20 is also a bargain compared to others, which makes this phone a great choice.
