Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 has a score of 79.5, which is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro's score of 78.7. The Huawei Mate 20 body is newer than Huawei Mate 9 Pro's, but it is a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo, offering some extra features and performance optimizations.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a display that is very similar to Huawei Mate 20's display, because although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and more pixels per inch of display. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's storage to install applications and games is very similar to the Huawei Mate 20 one, both of them have the same internal memory.
Huawei Mate 20 features a little better performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's battery lifetime is just as good as the Huawei Mate 20 one. Huawei Mate 20 features a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a back facing camera with a 12 megapixels resolution, the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a way larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a larger camera aperture for better low-light images and video.
In addition to being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, Huawei Mate 20 is also a bargain compared to the other phones.
