Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 is slightly better than Huawei P40 Lite, getting a 79.5 score against 79.5. Huawei Mate 20 is an older and a little heavier phone than the Huawei P40 Lite, but Huawei was able to make it a bit thinner anyway. Both phones we are comparing here use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 20 has 9.0 Pie version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10, so it provides some additional features.
Huawei Mate 20 counts with a little bit better processing power than Huawei P40 Lite, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 cores. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a quite lower 1080 x 2244px resolution and a just a little worse quantity of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a little larger display.
The Huawei P40 Lite and Huawei Mate 20 feature very similar storage capacity to store more apps and games, they have the same 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei P40 Lite features just a bit better battery performance than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Huawei P40 Lite features just a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a bigger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a way more MP camera.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei P40 Lite. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Huawei P40 Lite, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
