Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than Motorola Edge 40, having a general score of 79.5 against 77.2. Despite being the best cellphone in our current comparison, we must note that it's also a noticeably older, somewhat heavier and a little thicker cellphone. These devices include Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13 version, so it counts with a couple nice extra features.
The Huawei Mate 20 has a much powerful CPU than Motorola Edge 40, although it has less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Motorola Edge 40 features just a bit better display than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a same size screen, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display, a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and more display brightness.
The Motorola Edge 40 features a much better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a much bigger diafragm aperture, a way bigger sensor and a camera in the back with lot more MP.
The Motorola Edge 40 and Huawei Mate 20 feature really similar storage capacity to install games and applications, both have equal internal memory. The Motorola Edge 40 counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 10% more battery size.
