The Huawei Mate 20 is a bit better than the Moto G9 Play, having a 79.5 score against 76.7. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 20 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Moto G9 Play has Android 10, counting with a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations. Huawei Mate 20's body is just a bit thinner and a little lighter than Moto G9 Play, even though it was released a little bit further than a year before.

The Motorola Moto G9 Play has a greater memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Moto G9 Play counts with improved battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 25 percent larger battery size.
Moto G9 Play has a much better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Moto G9 Play also has a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels, higher video frame rate, a much larger sensor and a larger camera aperture to capture better captures and video in poorly lited environments.
