Comparison review
Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 20, getting an 87 score against 79.5. Both devices we compare here use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version while Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Galaxy A42 body is a lot newer than Huawei Mate 20's, but it is a little bit thicker and just a little heavier.
The Huawei Mate 20 has a lot better looking display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1080 x 2244 and a higher pixels density. Huawei Mate 20 has a little faster CPU than Galaxy A42. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores.
The Galaxy A42 shoots much better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the same video frame rate and a F1.8 camera aperture, the Galaxy A42 also has a back camera with way more megapixels. Galaxy A42 has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy A42 also has an external memory card slot that admits up to 1000 GB.
Galaxy A42 features superior battery life than Huawei Mate 20, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
