The Huawei Mate 20 has a score of 79.5, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha's 76.3 score. Huawei Mate 20 is a thicker and much heavier phone than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. These devices use Android OS, but Huawei Mate 20 has 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version, giving a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements.
Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a little bit greater count of pixels in each inch of screen, a way better 1080 x 2244px resolution and a much larger screen. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
Huawei Mate 20 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have a camera in the back with a 12 mega pixels resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a bigger aperture to take better photography and videos in poorly lited situations.
Huawei Mate 20 has a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 96 GB more internal storage. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 1860mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Alpha. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, letting go a couple features and specifications.
