Comparison review

Huawei Mate 20 has a global score of 79.5, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Note 5's global score of 79.3. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate 20 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1. Huawei Mate 20's construction is a lot newer, but just a little thicker and just a little bit heavier than the Galaxy Note 5.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a little more vivid display than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixel density and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 128 GB internal storage.

The Huawei Mate 20 features a quite superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a greater number of cores. The Galaxy Note 5 counts with a camera that is just as good as the camera in Huawei Mate 20, because although the Galaxy Note 5 has a smaller aperture and a smaller camera sensor which provides a worse image and video quality, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a back facing camera with a lot better resolution.

Huawei Mate 20 counts with longer battery life than Galaxy Note 5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs more money than Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Note 5. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Note 5, resigning a couple specs and features.
