Huawei Mate 20 has a global score of 79.5, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus's 78.6 overall score. Although the Huawei Mate 20 and the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus were only released 2 months apart, the Huawei Mate 20 is just a bit lighter and thinner. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 20 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Huawei Mate 20 features just a bit better looking display than Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a just a bit lower pixel number in each display inch, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2244px resolution, much more brightness and a quite larger screen. Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xperia XA2 Plus, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for shooting images or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the same video frame rates and a 0.43 inches back camera sensor, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also counts with a back camera with much more mega pixels.

Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit superior battery life than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3580mAh.
