Comparison review
Xperia Z5 Premium is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate 20, with a 79.8 score against 79.5. Even though the Xperia Z5 Premium is extremely older than the Huawei Mate 20, it's construction is a bit lighter and just a little bit thinner. These devices have Android operating system, but Xperia Z5 Premium has an older 5.1 version while Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 20 also counts with more RAM. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a much more vibrant display than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater display pixels density and a way higher 3840 x 2160 resolution.
The Huawei Mate 20 has more storage to store more games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Huawei Mate 20 features a bit longer battery duration than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3430mAh.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same sensor size, the same 30 fps video frame rate, a same size aperture and the same video definition, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a back facing camera with way more MP.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than the Huawei Mate 20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei Mate 20. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Huawei Mate 20, resigning some specifications.
