The Xiaomi Mi 8 is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 20, with an 83.3 score against 79.5. Although the Xiaomi Mi 8 and Huawei Mate 20 were released only a couple of months apart, the Xiaomi Mi 8 is just a bit lighter and just a little thinner. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi 8 has an older 10 version while Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has more RAM. Huawei Mate 20 counts with a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a bit worse 1080 x 2244px resolution and a little bit inferior count of pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with more display brightness and a quite bigger display.
Xiaomi Mi 8 features a very superior storage for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, because it has more internal storage. Huawei Mate 20 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate, a same resolution camera, the same aperture and the same video definition, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a larger camera sensor which provides a better photo and video quality.
Huawei Mate 20 has longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has an 18 percent greater battery capacity.
